Dr. Carol Barnewolt is an Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Radiology at Harvard Medical School, a faculty member of the Department of Radiology at Boston Children’s Hospital; and Chief of the Division of Sonography. She has practiced in both clinical and research roles at Boston Children’s Hospital for 20 years, with special expertise in fetal, neonatal, childhood, and adolescent genitourinary imaging, with a particular interest and sonography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Carol B. Benson, MD

Carol B. Benson, MD is a specialist in ultrasound in the Department of Radiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital where she is Director of the Division of Ultrasound, Co-Director of High Risk Obstetrical Ultrasound, and the Radiology Director for the Vascular Laboratory at the Brigham. At Harvard Medical School, she holds the title of Professor of Radiology and teaches students, residents and fellows. Dr. Benson’s research interests fall into several main areas related to the use of ultrasound in clinical practice. Obstetrical research topics include predicting outcome of first trimester gestations, multiple gestations, and fetal in utero interventional procedures. Other areas of research are related to gynecologic abnormalities, the male genital tract, and the thyroid gland. She has co-authored more than 140 scientific articles, more than 70 chapters and 11 books. She is internationally known for her expertise in ultrasound and has been invited to lecture at courses and meetings across the United States and around the world.

Robin Perlmutter Goldenson, MD, MPH

Robin Perlmutter Goldenson, MD, MPH is an Instructor of Radiology at the Harvard Medical School and a staff Radiologist in the Division of Ultrasound at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She has a broad background in all areas of abdominal and pelvic imaging as well as focused training in both interventional radiology and general surgery. Dr. Perlmutter Goldenson has a long-standing interest in the education of both medical trainees and patients. She currently teaches residents and fellows on a daily basis and co-chairs the Ultrasound Division Medical Student Clerkship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
